Easter Hunt

Join the great Easter Hunt at Kerry Writers’ Museum from April 16th to 18th. Follow the clues to discover the missing letters hidden throughout the Museum. Once you have gathered all the letters, just spell the magic word and receive your prize. Oh where can the letters be, for instance, under the bucket or behind the elephant? Only you can find them with the clues provided.

The Easter Hunt at Kerry Writers’ Museum runs daily from 12 noon to 3 pm and is suitable for children aged 4 to 7 years. As there are quite a few steps to climb, make sure you bring an adult with you so you can have an enjoyable and safe experience.

Admission – €5 per child

Here is a festive poem to help you on your way:

Some people think it’s funny

When the Easter Bunny

Drops a bunch of eggs
Like a hopping little Fairy.

Well, it’s not a lot of fun
When you have to find every one
Of those painted
Little ‘cackleberries! ‘

You must look to see
If there’s one behind every tree
And then search every bush,
Nook and cranny.

Well, there could be a dozen or more!
More eggs than are in a store!
You could step on one!
Or even sit on one with your fanny!

You never know where they’re at.
Why, they could be in your hat.
You have to find them
And put them in your basket.

Other kids find more eggs than me.
And that makes me sad, you see.
And I stomp around all gloomy.
I might as well be in a casket!

Oh! I think I see one right now!
It’s all yellow and blue and brown!
It’s hiding there,
Waiting for me in the grass!
I’ve got to hurry and run!
I’m going to get one!
I’m going to have an egg in my basket
If I can just get there fast!

Another kid got to it.
Just when I thought
I would get one!

I thought I had it!
I went right at it!
Wouldn’t you know it!
This is no fun!

Wait! What’s this I see?
Why, he’s going to give it to me!
He saw that I was on my way!

And even though he grabbed it,
He’s putting it in my basket!
Well, what can I say, but…
